This 3 hour training is designed to inspire your congregation and community to be better able to minimize disaster-caused harm to people and property and to respond to our neighbors in helpful, cooperative and caring ways on behalf of the Church and in the spirit of Jesus Christ. The workshop is made up of 3 modules: 1) Ready Congregants (preparing individuals & families to be disaster ready), 2) Ready Churches (covers importance of protecting church property and the people within the property before and following a disaster), and Ready Response (encourages churches to explore their capacity for various disaster response ministries and consider ways to engage community partners). The $10 registration fee includes lunch.
