Angel Tree Roots

The Angel Tree is a unique program that started in Lynchburg, Virginia in 1979. It involves the community in a direct way allowing them to become personally involved by sharing with those less fortunate in their community. The program provides gifts of new clothing and toys to thousands of children who otherwise might not have anything for Christmas.

How You Can Help

Angel ornaments will be displayed on our Angel Tree in the lobby of the Sanctuary. Each ornament contains information about a child in our local community, including age, size, and Christmas wishes. Members are encouraged to take an ornament, buy gifts listed on the angel, and bring them back to the church by December 10th. Make sure to provide Christmas wrapping paper for your gift. PLEASE DO NOT WRAP THEM. Parents will wrap these gifts and give them to their children for Christmas.
